Do I need my air ducts cleaned?

Many property owners consider air duct cleaning a part of routine home maintenance. However, air duct cleaning is especially important under the following circumstances:

After a house fire, furnace puff-back or other events that may cause fire, soot and/or smoke to be circulated through the air duct system.
When mold is present and has potentially been circulated through the system.

Do I really need my dryer vent cleaned?

Even more so than the need for routine air duct cleaning is the need for routine dryer vent cleaning. As dryers are used, hot air is expelled through an exhaust to the outside which is called the dryer vent. Over time, lint and debris can line the dryer vent and result in a dangerous fire hazard. Dryer vent cleaning should be included in every annual home maintenance plan.
